Plenary 2: The role of local government in energising local economies and delivering the MDGs

This session will explore the importance of national policy frameworks to support local economic development (LED) , and the relationship between local economic development and national economic policy in facilitating economic growth.and delivery of the MDGs, and the role of local government in enabling business and investment

Discussion of conference policy recommendations for submission to the CLGF General Meeting.

Closing reception at the National Museum of Wales, Cardiff

In the heart of Cardiff's civic centre, the national Museum of Wales was opened in April 1927 by King George V. The museum, now funded by the Welsh Assembly Government, has a collection of more than seven and a half million items featuring archeaology, botany, fine and applied art, geology and zoology.
